Meet Malinda Perez, Our New Parish Receptionist

Malinda was asked to tell us a little bit about herself.

“I began attending Sacred Heart about five years ago. I attend 7:00 a.m. Mass with my husband, Celso, and his family. Before coming to Sacred Heart I was looking for a church to call home. Sacred Heart gave me that peace I was seeking.

I have a wonderful family consisting of my husband, and six beautiful children, two boys, four girls, two grandchildren and one on the way! I feel so blessed to be a part of my husband Celso’s family. I grew up in Arkansas, and fondly remember horseback riding in the woods.”

Asked about cooking, Malinda responded: “I don’t really have a favorite dish that I make, but I enjoy the time Celso and I spend together when we make our Hawaiian cake. We love eating out at La Herradura Mexican Grill in Coal Valley. I often order the Molcajete La Herradura as it is my favorite dish there.”

My favorite vacation memory? “I love sitting on the beach at night with my feet buried in the sand while watching the waves. So very peaceful.”
