Meet Mardian Angelo, Administrative Assistant

My name is Mardian Angelo and I am the Sacred Heart Administrative Assistant. I began my job here in January and feel very welcome.

I was asked to tell you a little bit about myself. Maybe you will find we have something in common and when we meet, we can compare notes.

I attended St. Patrick Church in Colona for 40 years. My dad, Al, is a Deacon at St. Patrick and my mom, Daphne, is the Choir Director, who also leads a weekly Bible Study. I have four sisters and two brothers. They blessed me with five nieces and six nephews. I am fortunate most of the family lives in this area, but one sister and her family live in Perryville, MO.

Growing up, our family kept busy with a parakeet, some fish, Zebra finches, and an Albino frog. I also love to read! I enjoy reading, mostly inspirational fiction, but I also read spiritual books, the Bible, and children's books. I like good clean romance and stories with action or suspense. Mostly, it depends on how well the stories are written. When I watch movies, I love things that are inspiring, wholesome, fun, musicals, or have great music, it all depends on the particular movie.

I don't take a lot of vacations, but I went on a band tour, I played the B Flat Clarinet, when I was at Augustana. We went to Florida. We performed at several churches, went to Disney World, played volleyball on the beach, and went swimming. I also had a roommate who I got to know well and who is still one of my best friends today.
