Around Sacred Heart: Meet Alexis Thome

My name is Alexis Thome, my husband is Caleb Thome and our four children are Maci, Alycia, Christian and Freyja. We are 30 and 31 years of age. Our children are 12, 12, 8 and 4 soon to be 13, 12, 9 and 5. Our son Christian plays several sports, including flag football and basketball. He attended summer camps and so far loves all sports. Our daughter Maci also plays basketball and is very interested in sewing and knitting. Our daughter Alycia is a big sports girl. She did cross country and is currently running track. She also attended many summer sport camps. She is also interested in other sports. Our youngest Freyja is really a theatrical girl. They all attend Seton Catholic School.

I work as a lunch lady for Seton Catholic School in the kiddos cafeteria and as a custodian for Sacred Heart Church. Caleb is a fabricator welder at John Deere Davenport Works. We love to cook together, our favorites are breakfast foods! We have a few favorite restaurants we love in the QC so it would be hard to choose one.

We love Sacred Heart. It was our first church we attended as a family. Everyone at Sacred Heart has been loving and caring to my entire family. I have met wonderful new friends through the church. I also love volunteering at Blessings. It is a blessing to be a part of the church community. I love how welcoming Sacred Heart is and how much diversity it has. My whole family and I were baptized at Sacred Heart.

We have lived in the Quad Cities for five years now and explored and experienced a lot in those short years. We absolutely love it here!
