Mass of Remembrance

“Let There Be Peace” is a hymn often chosen by a family when planning the funeral of a loved one. That is our prayer for our deceased relatives and friends and for those who miss them. At our annual Mass of Remembrance, we at Sacred Heart honor those parish members who have died in the past year. This celebration always occurs at a weekend Mass near the feasts of All Saints and All Souls, when the Universal Church remembers those who have died.

On Saturday, November 5, at the 4:00 p.m. Mass, a special ritual of naming those who have died in the past year will be held. Family or friends will carry forward the personalized candle to be lit.

Invitations to a family member of the deceased will be mailed in mid-October and are to be shared with others who would wish to attend the special Mass. This Mass will also be livestreamed for those who are not able to attend.
