Are You Inviting Someone to Explore the Catholic Faith?

Every year, Sacred Heart Parish welcomes adults seeking information about the Catholic faith. The Christian Initiation process, used internationally, began at Sacred Heart in the 1980s.  The RCIA process even continued, with adjustments, during the pandemic. Hundreds of people have made the faith journey at Sacred Heart and felt supported by the parish community. Some Seekers did not complete or remain on the journey for various reasons but say they benefited from the experience. In the parish today, we have many “alums” involved, giving service and living their faith. This summer we had brief introductory sessions for Seekers. Now there is excitement as the Inquiry weeks of the fulfilling journey will begin Tuesday, September 20th, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the A-V Room of Culemans Memorial Hall and continue through May 2023 .

Several Seekers have contacted the parish center and are registered. They may want Baptism, education in the Catholic faith, Confirmation, or to learn about the faith of family members. They will discover that the weekly sessions conclude in May, while the Spiritual journey is life-long.

Perhaps you can invite a relative, friend, or acquaintance who feels a stirring in the heart and a desire for greater meaning in life.  Call Sister Kathleen 309-762-2362 at the Lee Parish Center to get more information.
