First Day Fund

School is out! That means it is time to start thinking about school supplies for the beginning of the next school year.

Sacred Heart works with the Christ The King Social Concerns Committee to provide up to 60 families at Seton Catholic School with their school supplies. We also furnish the teachers throughout the school year with the supplies needed to continue to help these same families.

Please consider a monetary donation to the First Day Fund. The money is prudently spent. To be good stewards of your money, we buy items in bulk and watch for all the discounts to purchase school supplies.

The official donation period runs from June 24th through July 9th.

Here are your options to help support the First Day Fund (FDF):

  1. You may leave a donation in the receptacles at any of the church doors.

  2. Drop your donation in the collection basket in an envelope marked FDF.

  3. Mail or drop off a check at the Lee Parish Center (1608 – 13th Street, Moline).  Please be sure to put a note in the memo field that states FIRST DAY FUND. A note in the envelope, ‘Attn: Connie Morris’, is also helpful to the office.

  4. Use the online option Click here to open the online giving page.

    1. On the left hand side of the page, there is a box of options for online donations. FIRST DAY FUND is the first choice under PARISH SPECIAL COLLECTIONS.

    2. If you already have a profile, you may log into the system on the right-hand side of the page with your email and password.

    3. Choose ADD TRANSACTION in the upper left-hand side of the page.

    4. Again, FIRST DAY FUND is the first choice under PARISH SPECIAL COLLECTIONS.

We thank you for your generous support of the children attending Seton Catholic School. Because of you, we are able to provide student and teacher supplies throughout the year.
