Living Stations of the Cross 2023

March 22 and 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Please join the youth of Sacred Heart Parish as we walk the final steps that Jesus took during His Passion, from the court of Pilate to the place where He died, Calvary. Over the centuries, many people traveled to Jerusalem to retrace and recall Jesus’ steps to His death. But Jerusalem was too far for most people. So, in the Middle Ages, they began making this “journey” in churches, using painted or carved images of the 14 stops Jesus made.

At each Station, people would stop and think about what happened to Jesus and they would pray about it. This year the youth of Sacred Heart will recreate those 14 Stations and tell the story of Jesus’s love for us by walking to His death.
