Electronic Giving - Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do automated contributions work?
A. No matter which donation method you use, you will be asked to select a payment method, start date, frequency and contribution amount. On the date(s) scheduled, donations will be processed and deposited into the church bank account.

Q. When will my contribution be processed?
A. Your contribution will be processed each month on the date(s) you authorize. If that date falls on a Holiday or weekend, the donation will appear on your bank statement the next business day.

Q. What can I use to show I made a donation?
A. The itemized list of electronic transactions that appear on your bank or credit card statement can be used as proof of your donations. In addition, there is a "My Transaction History" option when you log into your account. This report can be generated by date range. You will still receive a statement from the parish office at the end of the year by email.

Q. How safe is Online Giving?
A. It is safer than writing checks or carrying cash to church. Secure donation services are provided by Vanco Services, LLC. Vanco processes electronic donations for thousands of churches and nonprofit organizations.

Q. How can I still participate in the offering during services?
A. You can still display a symbolic act of giving by picking up an "I give electronically" card when entering church and placing it in the offering basket.

Q. What if I need to cancel or temporarily place my donation on hold?
A. You can cancel or suspend donations by logging into your account online to make necessary changes.

Q. Will I still receive my envelopes?
A. No, unless you prefer to continue receiving them. Please contact the Parish Office at (309) 762-2362 to continue receiving your envelopes.

Q. Does each member of the household need a separate login?
A. No. Use the same one for everyone so that your donations get posted to one account.

Q. What do I do if I want to make donations to different funds at different times/frequencies?
A. You will need to make 2 different submissions for each time/frequency.

Q. I currently use EFT withdrawals for my donations. Will I need to switch to online giving withdrawal?
A. No, you do not need to make any changes.

Q. What if I want to switch my EFT withdrawal to online giving? How would I do so?
A. You can change to online giving at any time by enrolling online and setting up your donations as instructed by the GETTING STARTED instructions. It is advised that you contact the Parish Office at (309) 762-2362 to avoid duplicate withdrawals.
