Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

Parishioners are invited to provide support services for the community of those inquiring about the Catholic faith life. Candidate sponsors and team leaders are essential for this process.

RCIA:  Becoming fully Catholic

There are people in our midst who are looking for a faith life, and a community of believers.  They want to know Jesus.  They desire meaning and direction in life.  Someone may be baptized but want other sacraments.   Do you know a relative, friend, acquaintance who is seeking?  Invite that person to Sacred Heart.

The current pandemic and protocols necessitate creative revisions of how we invite persons to explore the Catholic faith.  This year the process will blend in-person sessions and virtual gatherings online with the hope of creating community and faith experiences.  Beginning Tuesday, October 6th, we will meet 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Audio-Visual room of Culemans Hall, 14th St. and 16th Ave.  There is no fee for this faith journey.  Seekers may contact Father DeSutter or Sister Kathleen at the parish office to ask questions about it and to enroll in the process.
