The Welcoming Committee Calls You By Name

The purpose of the Welcoming Committee is to foster a spirit of Christian community in our parish. The committee extends to all who come to Sacred Heart a warm welcome.

What's an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion?

"Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion" is the formal title of laypeople who distribute the Eucharist during Mass. As the title implies, there are also "ordinary ministers" - those who are literally "ordained" to the ministry namely bishops, priests, and deacons. These ministers are usually the first in order to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ, the deacon being the customary distributor of the cup.

Sacred Heart Celebrates the Sacrament of Holy Communion

Of all seven sacraments, the Holy Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the most central and important to Catholicism. For the first time on Sunday, May 6 and Sunday May 13 at our 11:00am Masses our second-grade students will experience their First Holy Communion. Let us keep these young ones in our prayers as they receive the Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

RCIA Candidates and Catechumens 2018

The Christian Initiation (RCIA) community at Sacred Heart presents our two Candidates and asks that you continue welcoming and praying for them. Watch future bulletins to meet the Catechumens.

Looking Ahead to Lent and Holy Week 2018

A preview of services and events planned for Lent, starting with Ash Wednesday on February 14th.

Marriage Day Mass & Dinner - February 10th

A tradition of more than four decades at Sacred Heart is the annual celebration of special wedding anniversaries. Long time parishioners might recall the variety of ways couples here have been honored since Worldwide Marriage Encounter first urged parishes to focus on couples living out the sacrament of marriage.

Advent Vespers Series

Once again our parish will offer Advent Vespers, with scripture, music, guest reflectors and silence. Come to Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 3rd, 10th and 17th. Bring family and friends for this Advent observance.
