Join Us to Rejoice and Be Glad!

This latest document of Pope Francis presents a practical road to holiness for our time. The pope urges us to look at the ordinary holiness of those around us, especially in the patience and persistence of their lives. The simple yet profound content will be presented and discussed over three Thursday evenings of July at Sacred Heart, in the audio visual room of Culemans Hall, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The Lessons of St. Vincent DePaul

St. Vincent DePaul is a world-wide movement of lay people who seek to help the poor and to grow in holiness. Our St. Vincent DePaul members will be available to help transients and to visit people within our parish boundaries. We often have people call our parish with material needs. We want to show them compassion and caring.

First Day Fund 2018

Please check the front vestibule the first two weekends of July to adopt supplies for our students. And then you can drop them off the third and fourth weekends of July again in the front vestibule of the church.

Second Annual Parish Picnic

Our Parish Picnic is Sunday, July 8th. We will again be at Stephen’s Park at the back shelter. We will begin festivities at noon and eat, play and hang out until 2:00. The parish will provide chicken and bottled water. Bring a dish to share, lawn chairs and a drink if you don’t want water.

Rejoice and Be Glad 3-Part Series

At our May parish staff meeting, we chose to offer evening sessions on three consecutive Thursdays, July 12th, July 19th and July 26th on REJOICE and BE GLAD. Father Mark DeSutter, Father Matthew Cole and Sister Kathleen Mullin will each lead a session in Culemans Hall.

Second Hand Sale

Don't forget! This week starts our Second Hand Sale. The Early Bird shopping starts on Thursday, June 7th at 4:00 p.m. and goes until 7:00 p.m. Be the first to get a chance at all of our bargains.

The Holy Spirit is the invisible gift of God, Pope Francis says

Pope Francis said Wednesday that confirmation is the sacrament in which Catholics are marked with a seal that solidifies their belonging to Christ through the Holy Spirit, who he said is God's invisible gift to each person who receives the sacrament.
