Meet Our New Director of Religious Education!

Please welcome Debbie Patronagio to our parish as the new Director of Religious Education. She began work on July 1st

Debbie, a 4th grade teacher at Jordan Catholic School in Rock Island since 1995, is a native of the Quad Cities and attended St. Ambrose University where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Education. During her 23 years of teaching at Jordan, she has helped students complete the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. In addition, she taught CCD at St. Ambrose in Milan from 2003-2013, and was assistant director of their program for several years. She has attended a Theology Summer Institute at Notre Dame University and completed the John Bosco Institute in Peoria.

Debbie has prepared many children for their sacraments, and has numerous skills that will help her in her new ministry. She will be introducing herself to the parish over the next few weeks. Please make her feel welcome. Debbie is very enthusiastic about coming to our parish and we are happy to have her.

Fr. Mark would like to thank the search committee that helped hire Debra. That committee included Janet Hunt (Former DRE), Kate Schaefer (President, Moline/Coal Valley School Board), and Amy Mack (Religious Education Teacher). They were invaluable in approaching viable candidates and helping me in the interview process.
